When Dr. Zoom puts on the cape and mask, he is transformed into a confident, passionate racer who pushes through the walls of fear and doubt to achieve at the highest level. We all want to do our best and performance counseling can help!

Nicole will show you how to find your inner hero, so you can race with more passion, confidence, and spirit. After facilitating a clinical assessment of the nine mental skills of successful athletes, together you will create a treatment plan to address weaknesses. Nicole will help you increase motivation, master your fears, reduce anxiety, overall walls, and push beyond your limits using biofeedback for emotional self-regulation and stress management and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) performance enhancement protocol.

About Dr. LaSelle

Dr. LaSelle, a native of Dayton, Ohio, Nicole began her athletic career at the age of 11, competing in Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) track meets. While attending Chaminade-Julienne High School, she won 6 OHSAA state titles (three in cross country and three in track) and accepted a scholarship to the University of Notre Dame, where she earned All-Academic and Varsity honors. After college, Nicole cross-trained in cycling and swimming to complement her running and began competing in triathlons and duathlons. In 2005, she won the Chicago Triathlon in the Age Group division and was the 2011 U.S. Duathlon National Champion. She went onto to place 9th at the World Duathlon Championships in Gijon, Spain, later that year. In 2017 Nicole was inducted into the Dayton Distance Running Hall of Fame. She enjoys training with her teammates on the Zoom Multisport Racing Team. Nicole holds a BA in Psychology from Notre Dame, a MS.Ed in Community and School Counseling from the University of Dayton, and a Ph.D. from Kent State University in Counselor Education. Nicole is a licensed professional clinical counselor with training in sports performance, and a specialization in EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing). Nicole is currently counseling at Hearthstone Psychology in Dayton, Ohio.
